In many large-scale stage performances, what really shocks us is not the scene, but the rendering power of the scene, and the effect of sound is indispensable. Compared with the outdoor open space, when placing all kinds of acoustics indoors, in order to achieve better sound quality effect, we should not only reasonably place different types of acoustics, but also learn to do some simple acoustic disposal. Here are some effective solutions to reduce indoor sound echo:
1. Lay a thick carpet. The reflection of sound waves from the ground is very serious. Although the carpet has little effect on low frequencies, the first thing to do is to try to absorb some high-frequency reflections. The early reflections formed in the first 5ms (milliseconds) or a few milliseconds after the direct sound will become part of the direct sound, and they will be heard because they mostly come from the same direction. It should be prevented that the speaker with pure sound should be mixed with some high-frequency sound reflected from the ground. And because it is unlikely to add some soft padding to the ceiling, if you do not lay a carpet on the ground, there will be two parallel and highly reflective surfaces, and the sound waves will be reflected back and forth between the ground and the ceiling, making the sound ugly.

2. Hang window cloth on the window. In some concert halls, reflective glass is always prevented. In the listening room, because the walls are very close, the reflected sound generated by the glass is very simple and boring. You can try to hang some window cloth that can be opened on the window, and pull the window cloth when listening to music. In addition, do not put bookcases and furniture with glass front panel in the listening room.
3. Try to destroy the reflection of parallel walls. Parallel walls, like the ground and ceiling, may produce endless reflections, presenting "multiple echoes" and making the sound ugly. You can clap your hands hard. If you hear an echo, there are some problems in the listening room. Bookshelves, especially those with random books, can be used as sound wave dispersers to block the reflection of those parallel planes. Although many specially made sound dispersion screens have been sold, placing a few bookshelves in the listening room can achieve quite good results.
4, paste some bubbles on the "mirror reflection point" of the treble unit. Unless the ceiling of the listening room is as big as a church, you should paste some foam blocks in the "mirror reflection point" of every sound unit of the loudspeaker. The so-called "mirror reflection point" refers to such a point: when a mirror is placed at a point on the ceiling (or ground), the tweeter in the mirror can be seen from the listening position. Although the disposal of the ceiling does not have to be as strict as the disposal of the floor, it is still beneficial to make appropriate disposal. When the mirror reflection point on the ceiling is pasted with a thickness of several millimeters and the area is no more than 0.1m2, the indoor listening environment has been improved.
5. Don't let the reverberation be too long. Sticking small foam blocks at mirror reflection points will not cause excessive changes in the listening room. However, if you stick a large piece of foam or hang up a very thick window cloth, you will hear the sound of the replayed music because of excessive absorption. Thin and light sound-absorbing materials will be able to absorb high frequencies well, but they will not have an effect on low frequencies. Usually, the thickness of the sound-absorbing material must be roughly equal to half the wavelength of the sound wave to have the effect of sound absorption. As for the sound wave of 10kHz, the wavelength is only 3.4cm, so the foam of several centimeters thick can absorb high frequency.
